Mitel phones are not picking up DHCP option66 when connected to a Meraki switch but does with a Netgear or other switch that support LLDP.
- Mitel phones uses LLDP-MED (not just LLDP) to operate with DHCP option 66.
- As of December 13, 2016, Meraki released a beta firmware version that includes LLDP-MED (not just LLDP). If your Meraki switch does not appear to boot Mitel phones with option66, then please contact Meraki and ask them to verify if the switch includes LLDP-MED. If not, request them to upgrade the firmware or provide an upgrade methodology.
