How do I reduce the ring time so that my deskphone only rings 3 times?

 

Resolution

Case: my phone is not part of a ring group

  1. Login into PISTON as the admin user.
  2. Under VoIP Services (or Hosted PBX), Advanced, click Users.
  3. On the left pane, locate and click the user in question.
  4. On the center, click the User box.
  5. Change the 'Ring this user's devices for ___ seconds' to 20 seconds.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Click Save changes.

Case: my phone is part of a ring group

  1. Login into PISTON as the admin user.
  2. Under VoIP Services (or Hosted PBX), click Callflows.
  3. On the left pane, locate and click the phone number the ring group is part of.
  4. On the center, locate the Ring group box and double-click it.
  5. On the right side of the pop-up box, reduce the Timeouts for the user to 20 seconds.  
  6. Click OK.
  7. Click Save changes.
