Description
While setting up a phone on a connection that does not have a dedicated router that sends out provisioning server settings automatically, the provisioning server settings are required.
Resolution
The settings vary slightly between models. If you have an Aastra/Mitel phone or any other manufacturer. The settings are:
Aastra/Mitel
- http://provision.CUSTOMER-REALM/provision
- i.e. Click on Hosted PBX in the web UI in PISTON, your Account Realm will be displayed. If your company is "Acme XYZ" your realm might be "acmexyz.voxter.sip.voxter.com". This would make your provisioning URL http://provision.acmexyz.voxter.sip.voxter.com/provision
Polycom, Cisco, Yealink
- http://provision.CUSTOMER-REALM/provision should work by redirecting to http//p.voxter.com
- i.e. Click on Hosted PBX in the web UI in PISTON, your Account Realm will be displayed. If your company is "Acme XYZ" your realm might be "acmexyz.voxter.sip.voxter.com". This would make your provisioning URL http://provision.acmexyz.voxter.sip.voxter.com/provision
