Resolution

Case A: I have a new extension and have not yet setup my voicemail greeting

  • case: I get a company menu
    1. Call the company line if from external or pick up the handset from any phone.
    2. When the company menu greeting is playing, press *97.
    3. If prompted, input your extension number followed with a #.
    4. When the audio starts plays "the person at extension xxxx..." wait a second then press * during the middle of the audio.
    5. Input your voicemail PIN number followed with a #.
    6. Follow the audio instructions to record a new voicemail greeting.
  • case: I get to my own voicemail greeting by calling my direct business number
    1. Call the direct business number.
    2. Press *97.
    3. If prompted, input your extension number followed with a #.
    4. When the audio starts plays "the person at extension xxxx..." wait a second then press * during the middle of the audio.
    5. Input your voicemail PIN number followed with a #.
    6. Follow the audio instructions to record a new voicemail greeting.
  • case: I access my voicemail from my deskphone's voicemail button.
    1. From your deskphone, pickup the handset.
    2. Press the Voicemail button on your phone.
    3. When prompted, input the PIN followed with a #.

Case B: Accessing a recorded messages or updating my greeting

  • case: I get a company menu
    1. Call the company line if from external or pick up the handset from any phone.
    2. When the company menu greeting is playing, press *97.
    3. Upon being prompted, input your extension number followed with a #.
    4. Input your voicemail PIN number followed with a #.
  • case: I get to my own voicemail greeting by calling my direct business number
    1. Call your own personal business card number (if one was assigned to you).
    2. When you hear your own voicemail greeting, press *97.
    3. Input your extension number followed with a #.
    4. Input your PIN number followed with a #.
  • case: I access my voicemail from my deskphone's voicemail button.
    1. From your deskphone, pickup the handset.
    2. Press the Voicemail button on your phone.
    3. When prompted, input the PIN followed with a #.

Case C: Letting a caller record a new message for me

  • As long as the device used for calling in is not registered with your user profile in PISTON then anyone can record a new message to your voicemail.
