How do i record or re-record my main menu greeting?

 

Resolution

Case A: Text to speech (via PISTON management interface)

  1. In the PISTON interface's callflow, open the MENU box by clicking on it.
  2. If there is already a menu created, click Edit Menu Options. If not, Add New Menu.
  3. Ensure all the fields are properly filled.
  4. Edit or Create the Greeting Message.
  5. Ensure all the fields are properly filled.
  6. Change 'Media Type' from File to TTS.
  7. Fill in the text to speech text in the 'Text' field.
  8. Click Save.
  9. Click Save.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Click Save changes.

 

Case B: Internal extension recording

  1. Assign an arbitrary extension number (no need to create a user) in the callflow where the menu resides.
  2. Click Save changes.
  3. Call the extension.
  4. There will be an audio indicating no menu is setup (or if one already exist while the audio is playing) then input the menu's PIN plus a # sign.
  5. You will be prompted to record a new menu greeting.

Case C: External phone number recording

  1. Call the main phone number where the menu is part of the callflow.
  2. If there is an audio indicating no menu is setup:
    1. Dial the menu's PIN number plus a '#'.
  3. If there is an audio playing:
    1. While the menu audio is playing, dial the menu's PIN number plus a '#'.
  4. You will be prompted to record a new menu greeting.
